This month on 13th June 2014, creatives from around the world will attend the The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity on the stunning French Riviera. An annual event that celebrates the best work in visual communications and advertising.
Instagram have teamed up with Cannes Lions to celebrate the “world’s best visual imagery” by showcasing a small number of stunning, original, Instagram based photography in La Galerie d’Instagram. This is a fantastic opportunity for photography enthusiasts and “Instagrammers” to have their work displayed in front of a global audience!
Instagram are going to choose their favourites photos from an open pool, and all you have to do to submit your entries is to add the hashtag #InstagramCannes to your 3 best photos! The rule being, you can submit a maximum of 3 photos between now, and the 13th June 2014. Instagram are only accepting the first three submissions per person, so choose carefully.
“Winning #InstagramCannes photos will be selected based on the originality, technical execution, and subject matter of submissions. In addition to having their #InstagramCannes photos featured in the gallery and announced on the Instagram for Business blog, each winner will receive a Leica C camera and travel kit, courtesy of Leica and Herschel Supply.”
The #InstagramCannes contest is open to everyone in the community, including brands. Winners will be notified on June 15, the first day of the festival.
